The Alpha and the Omega
It was
the beginning and the end for Pastor Ted and Jan
Sunday, Sept. 20, as the Zearing Christian Church
held a farewell service and potluck to wish them the
best in their new life with the Fillmore Christian
Church in Fillmore, Missouri, and ending nearly four
and one-half years with the Zearing Christian
Church.
After
the potluck, members of the congregation and friends
helped them load the moving van for the trip to
Fillmore.
Bob C. wishes Jan and
Ted the best during the farewell service.
Pastor Ted displays
the sign Bob gave him in case he needed it for the
trip to Fillmore.

There's
always plenty of food at the church potlucks.
Pastor
Ted Gives Resignation Notice
On the 15th of July Pastor Ted gave his resignation notice to the Elders and General Board.
This will be effective September 20th, 2009.
Jan and Ted will be moving to Savannah, Mo on the 21st of September where they will be serving
Fillmore Christian Church in Fillmore, Missouri.
They have been happy here at Zearing Christian Church these last four years but felt led by the Lord
to take on a new ministry challenge. "The Church here in Zearing has been very loving, caring and supportive
during our ministry time", Ted told the board; plus, "Many friends have been made within the Church and the
community" Further, he feels, "The Church has excellent leadership which will continue to guide Zearing Christian
Church in future days."
This is a change for both the Welch's, the Church here in Zearing and Fillmore Christian Church.
Please pray for guidance during the next few weeks and months as this transition is made.
Easter Morning Service
The 10:30 a.m. Easter morning service at the Church was a blessing! Both
young and old; members and non-members were present as we sang and worshipped together. It was wonderful to have so
many young children along with their parents. Yes, they made sound as children are accustomed to doing, but it was beautiful
noise.
Following the service everyone departed to their homes to share in
fellowship with friends and family.
We are fortunate to worship the Lord from whom all blessings come!

| Jim ran the digital hymnal to provide the music |

| while others helped with the singing. |
Early Easter Service
at Colonial Manor Nursing Home
Twenty-one residents of Colonial Manor Nursing Home of Zearing and
a number of Zearing Christian Church members gathered for an early service on Easter morning.
Hymns of praise were sung by the group, Communion was shared by all
and then Pastor Tommy C. brought a sermon on the risen Christ. Following the service the nursing home activities director,
Jennifer set up refreshments which were provided by the nursing home. Everyone enjoyed the
service, fellowship and refreshments.

Reed
|
Carlee was born on October the 8th, 2008. Her parents, Joel & Crystal presented
her for Dedication on the 15th of March, 2009 during the worship service.
Present were Grandparents from both sides of the family along with Shelly the babies Godmother.
Also present were other family members and friends along with members of Zearing Christian Church.
Child dedication is an important time where both the Child is dedicated to the Lord and
the parents, family and members of the Church accept their obligations to help nurture a child in the Christian faith.
May our God bless this precious little one!
