Some thoughts on our journey
Our mission trip to India was to say the least enlightening. Daily we saw the
contrasts of life in our country versus that of India. To be frank, it felt heavy seeing the poverty of people as we traveled
the streets of India.
In some ways we are so blessed in the U.S. and in others we are poor, as in my opinion we tend
to be spoiled, having both wealth and possessions and perhaps not appreciating what we have as we should. For instance,
in one meeting in Allahabad there was a man who was worshiping with much exuberance and with great sincerity. After
the meeting I greeted him and asked him if he knew Christ as his Savior, to which he replied, "YES!". In talking with him
I discovered he was homeless, yet he had a broad smile on his face as I spoke with him. You see, his knowledge of Christ and
his salvation overshadowed his poverty. In his opinion he was rich; and so he was!
GROUP VIDEO PRESENTATIONS
Ted's video presentation is ready to share with
Churches or groups, (small or large), who would like to hear about the Mission Trip
journey in India. The first presentation was given to the Women's CWF group from Zearing Christian Church and
their guests on May 1st. It went very well and all 40 persons present shared that they enjoyed the presentation.
If you, or someone you know, would like Ted to share this mission trip with your group
or Church, please feel free to contact him at: 641-487-7388, email- thwelsr@netins.net or by writing to Ted H. Welch Sr., Pastor, PO Box 292, Zearing, IA 50278 . There
